A soft, warm spot on every window sill,

Some leather furniture to scratch and shred,
Well-trained staff that doesn't scowl at that.
Every item in the household should serve
To entertain, provide comfort, and preserve
God-given right to it being ripped and torn,
Including hands that pet us when we purr.
Abolished and removed from sight
Shall be unauthorized canines,
spray bottles, nail polish, perfumes, and such.
The games of scrabble and or chess
Are there for us to scatter pieces under the bed, no less,
And we must have vases of this edible grass.
Speaking of the food, the menu we shall dictate -
Tuna salad is an acceptable lunch,
A dinner staple - Chicken Parmesan, sans-faute,
And don't forget a pristine fine china plate,
The water may come from a fountain or an aquarium.
Oh, I might go fishing, just as well,
I'll tell you more when I ring your bell.
